After a memorable time at HarperCollins as a graduate trainee, Laura stuck around in publishing for a few years, pursuing many weird and wonderful projects as part of the company's newly formed digital publishing team. While working on authonomy.com, assisting aspiring authors, the alliteration became too much, and she headed off on a six-month sabbatical to India, south-east Asia and Indonesia. Laura joined Zone in the summer of 2014 from Macmillan Cancer Support, where she spent three years running the UK’s largest charity peer-support community.
Strange but true:
Laura can write forwards and backwards with her right and left hands simultaneously. She has yet to find a practical application for this skill.
