As Chief Operations Officer, the ultimate responsibility for delivering mission critical digital to our clients falls to Karen. In our decentralised structure, autonomous self-sufficient units of experts in strategy, technology and content service each individual account, and Karen oversees the senior leadership teams in each of these client groups. Boasting nearly 25 years’ client services experience, she has helped some of the world’s biggest brands – including the likes of Coca-Cola and Tesco – deploy cutting-edge digital solutions to critical business needs. Hailing from a newspaper marketing background – she spent ten years at the Guardian Media Group – Karen joined us in mid-2007 to lead our client services team, subsequently overseeing the genesis of the strategy and project management teams that are so critical to our agency’s capability offering today. She also planted the seed of what would become Timezone – our proprietary time-management system which gives us and our client’s real-time access to all agency activity.
