We operate in a very competitive market for talent.

It’s not just other digital agencies like us who are competing for the best people, it’s also traditional agencies who are trying to adapt to the changing communications landscape. It’s the big management consultancies who are building ‘agency’ capabilities – witness Accenture’s recent acquisition of Karmarama.

It’s clients who increasingly feel the need to bring digital talent in-house, where they can benefit from the cultural impact of bringing new skills and capabilities into the organisation. Not to mention a growing number of start-ups who can offer bright young things excitement, share options and the promise of untold riches.

Experienced digital experts are the lifeblood of our business. So when we were introduced to the team at Head London – a close-knit team of 40 strategists, creatives, developers and delivery experts – we jumped at the chance to get to know them.

The more time we spent together, the more we got along. We realised that we had complementary skills and clients. We discovered a shared passion for digital and loved their fiercely entrepreneurial spirit, forged in their 15 years operating as a successful independent agency.

And most importantly of all, we enjoyed spending time with their people. We found them to be ambitious, smart and decent. We share the same values.

So this week, we’re thrilled to announce that Zone has completed the acquisition of Head. The Head team has moved into our London office and our teams are already starting to collaborate on ambitious projects for clients across our shared portfolio.

The acquisition makes Zone the biggest independent digital agency in the UK. Our team of 250 digital experts is better placed than ever to help clients adapt to the constant challenge of a digital world. We’re delighted to welcome Head into the Zone family and are excited about what 2017 has in store.

We look forward to introducing you to the Head team – please get in touch if there’s a particular challenge that you’d like to discuss.
