The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) has handpicked the Zone CEO, Jon Davie, to lead BIMA London as chair on its new council, which replaces the former executive board.

The announcement is in line with the first phase of BIMA’s new strategy, which sees three fellow industry heavyweights  appointed as regional chairs alongside Jon. Two national think tanks have been also been created, with the aim of furthering BIMA’s mission to drive innovation and excellence across the digital industry in the UK.

Zone business director Rebecca Simmonds has also been appointed to the council, as BIMA mentoring chair.

Tarek Nseir, BIMA co-president, said: “Our structure is geared towards change, with communities emerging in anticipation or response to something new that’s happening in the industry. We’re creating an organisation that is nationally representative and future-facing.”
